What is relational therapy?
A relational therapist works with the principles of connection – empathy, presence, and authenticity – to build a foundation of trust and ease for your therapeutic goals.
Therapy is not easy. It’s not supposed to be.
We like to say that a good session will comfort the parts of us that are suffering and stretch the parts of us that are rigid, stuck, or complacent.
We are coming to therapy to experience support and find change. To experience difficult feelings or navigate our inner thoughts and stories alongside our therapist, we need this foundation of connection.
Relational therapy works to repair our felt sense of connection to others and, ultimately, to ourselves.
