How I work

I prefer a holistic, humanistic, and existential approach to therapy. I’m an avid believer that the quality of a therapeutic relationship is predictive of positive outcomes. Everyone is unique, and every therapeutic relationship will be as well. I draw on different theories and techniques when I see a space for them to be helpful to my client. In my experience, an intuitive and open approach to therapy facilitates growth. I aim to create a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and honest space in which clients can explore all aspects of their lives and inner worlds.

Biography

I live in BC, Canada, with my husband and two Bengal Cats, Babadook and Bellatrix. I grew up in Winnipeg, then Kelowna, BC, and am the oldest of three girls. Growing up, I was a competitive athlete, primarily in girls’ hockey and soccer, and I was obsessed with books. (I especially loved Goosebumps and Anything by R.L. Stine!) My teen years were challenging and a bit of a blur. I spent most of my twenties learning from mistakes (some big ones!) and having fun in Vancouver while studying to become a therapist. I’ve always been interested in human behavior, the mind, emotions, and the unconscious. As an adult, I still enjoy reading, watching spooky movies, spending time with my family and close friends, hiking, yoga, taking barre and spin classes, and being a homebody. I love to travel when I can; my favorite place is Maui. My ideal day is reading on the beach with a hot sun and an iced coffee, to the sound of waves breaking.
